Welcome to the Skagit Composite Squadron Website!

redtails1.jpgSkagit Composite Squadron is one of 28 Civil Air Patrol (CAP) Squadrons in Washington State and is located at Skagit Regional Airport in Burlington, WA.

We meet weekly on Thursday nights from 7-9 pm at our Squadron Headquarters, across from Glacier Helicopters and Crosswinds Restaurant at the airport terminal complex.cap_107.jpg

Civil Air Patrol was founded in December 1941, one week before the attack on Pearl Harbor, by more than 150,000 citizens who were concerned about the defense of America's coastline.  CAP, the Auxiliary of the United States Air Force, is now a federally chartered non-profit civilian corporation charged with three primary missions–aerospace education, cadet programs and emergency services.

Our Cadet members range in age from 12-21 and participate in almost all aspects of CAP, including a world-class leadership program, aerospace education, emergency services, physical fitness, and various exciting and educational activities.

Our Officers, from age 18 on, serve CAP in various capacities depending upon their background capcommandpatch.jpgand personal interests. From flying to working in our Cadet Program, each Officer serves as a valuable part of our team. Our Officers include current and former members of the military, pilots, college professors, social workers, business owners, sales representatives, educators, ferry boat captains, college students, and firefighters.

All of our members, Officers and Cadets alike, have one common interest: selflessly serving their community as part of a team of volunteer professionals.

If you are interested in aviation, youth programs, emergency services, or simply serving your community alongside a group of dedicated volunteers, send us an e-mail at This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it .
